Frequently Asked Questions
We refresh server status every 30 seconds from our global monitoring network.
We only collect anonymous server metrics. No player information is stored or processed.
We collect anonymous server metrics from ARK servers. Additionally, Cloudflare processes basic visitor analytics to ensure service security and performance. No personally identifiable game data is collected.
Our server ranking system evaluates ARK servers based on multiple factors to help you find the best gameplay experience. Each server receives a composite score based on:
- Server Reliability (40%) - How consistently the server stays online
- Connection Quality (25%) - How responsive the server is based on ping times
- Connection Stability (15%) - How consistent the connection quality remains
- Community Activity (20%) - Server popularity based on player counts
Our ranking system updates hourly, analysing the past 7 days of performance data for all servers. Only servers with sufficient data history are ranked.
Our system handles offline servers in the following way:
- When a server goes offline, it will display as "Offline" in the server list.
- Servers that remain continuously offline for more than 9 days will be automatically removed from our database to keep the listings current.
- Servers with very limited historical data may be removed sooner as part of our database optimisation process.
- If a removed server comes back online later, it will be automatically detected and added back to our system during the next data collection cycle.
Don't panic if your favourite server disappears from our list! This does not mean the server is permanently gone. It simply means our system has temporarily removed it from active tracking. Once the server comes back online, it will reappear in our listings during the next update cycle.
This cleanup process helps us maintain a relevant and accurate list of active ARK servers while reducing database load and improving site performance.
