Boss Difficulty Tiers
π― Universal Boss Battle Tips
Essential Preparations:
- High-quality saddles (80+ armor minimum)
- Medical brews for riders
- Backup gear in case of death
- Yutyrannus for courage roar buff
- Daeodons for healing support
Creature Requirements:
- Minimum 20k health on DPS dinos
- 400%+ melee damage preferred
- Max level tames with good stats
- Properly imprinted for stat boost
- Mate boost pairs when possible
Best Army Composition:
π¦₯ Megatherium Army (Recommended)
The Insect Killer buff gives Megatheriums 250% damage boost against the Broodmother!
- β’ 18 Megatheriums (high health/melee)
- β’ 1 Yutyrannus (courage roar)
- β’ 1 Daeodon (healing)
Alternative: Rex Army
- 19 Rexes with 30k+ health, 500%+ melee
- 1 Yutyrannus for buffs
- Good saddles essential (80+ armor)
Battle Strategy:
- Position army in tight formation before entering
- Rush straight at Broodmother, ignore spiders initially
- Keep Yutyrannus back, using courage roar constantly
- Watch for acid spit - causes massive damage over time
- If using Megatheriums, kill a spider first for buff
Recommended Army:
- Rex Rush strategy works perfectly due to low HP
- 15-19 Rexes (25k+ health, 400%+ melee)
- 1 Yutyrannus for courage buff
- Optional: Therizinos for veggie cake healing
β οΈ ARENA HAZARD WARNING
There's a large hole near the Megapithecus spawn that causes instant death! Keep all creatures away from the center pit!
Battle Strategy:
- Stay away from the center hole at all costs
- Rush the Megapithecus immediately
- Ignore the smaller apes unless overwhelmed
- Watch for rock throws - they can dismount you
- Keep moving to avoid boulder attacks
This is considered the easiest boss - perfect for testing your army before harder fights!
Best Army Composition:
π¦ Therizinosaur Army
Therizinos can heal with veggie cakes and have smaller hitboxes!
- β’ 18 Therizinos (21k+ HP, 700%+ melee)
- β’ Each carrying 10+ veggie cakes
- β’ 1 Yutyrannus (stay far back)
- β’ 1 Daeodon with tons of meat
Player Equipment:
- High-level Ghillie Armor (heat resistance)
- Calien Soup (heat resistance buff)
- Medical Brews for healing
- Pump-action shotgun for Dimorphodons
Battle Strategy:
- Spread army to minimize fire breath damage
- Attack from behind/sides when possible
- Kill Pteranodons and Dimorphodons quickly
- When Dragon lands, surround and attack
- Back off when it prepares to fly
- Use shotgun on flyer minions as rider
Prerequisites:
Must defeat Broodmother, Megapithecus, and Dragon first!
Tek Cave Requirements:
- Level limit: 450 max for creatures
- No flyers allowed in cave or arena
- Bring extra gear - long dangerous path
- Cryopods recommended for tight spaces
Recommended Army:
Mixed Composition
- β’ 10 Rexes (40k+ HP, 600%+ melee)
- β’ 5-7 Therizinos with veggie cakes
- β’ 2 Yutyrannus (alternate roars)
- β’ 2 Daeodons (massive healing needed)
- β’ All with 100+ armor saddles
Essential Equipment:
- Full Tek armor set (highly recommended)
- Tek rifle with element
- Multiple sets of backup gear
- Tons of medical brews
Battle Phases:
- Phase 1: Overseer summons Defense Units and Attack Drones
- Phase 2: Transforms into Megapithecus form
- Phase 3: Transforms into Broodmother form
- Phase 4: Transforms into Dragon form
- Focus main army on Overseer, few on drones
- Keep healers alive at all costs
Victory grants Tek engrams and completes The Island storyline!
Tributes Required:
- Artifact of the Gatekeeper
- Artifact of the Crag
- Artifact of the Destroyer
- 2-10 Wyvern Talons (varies by difficulty)
Best Strategy - Wyvern Army:
- 10-15 Lightning Wyverns (high level, imprinted)
- Focus fire the Manticore when it lands
- Avoid torpor attacks - bring stimulants
- Watch out for tail spikes that cause bleed
Alternative - Rex Rush:
- 19 Rexes + 1 Yutyrannus still works
- Rush when Manticore lands
- Easier than Dragon due to no fire damage
Key Differences from Island:
- Both bosses spawn at the same time
- Must manage two different attack patterns
- Increased difficulty due to dual threat
- Same tributes as individual Island bosses
Recommended Strategy:
Split Army Approach
- β’ 10 Megatheriums for Broodmother (insect buff)
- β’ 10 Rexes for Megapithecus
- β’ Whistle groups essential for control
- β’ Focus Megapithecus first (lower HP)
Required Setup:
- Artifacts: Depths, Shadows, and Stalker
- Rock Drake or Megalosaurus for mobility
- Shotguns with 500+ shells per person
- Medical brews and custom food
- Hazard suits with backup pieces
- Light pets for Nameless protection
Battle Strategy:
- Mount Rock Drake, stay mobile
- Shoot tentacles when they glow purple
- Kill Reapers and Nameless quickly
- When Rockwell's heart opens, unload shotgun
- Repeat cycle: tentacles β heart β adds
- Watch for electric orb attacks
Fighting Strategy:
- Use Snow Owls for mobility and healing
- Lightning Wyverns for damage
- Position mounts at 85.2, 80 before entering
- Focus on corruption nodes for taming
- Avoid lightning strikes from tail
Stats:

- Arms regrow after being destroyed

- Best for farming OSDs after taming
Battle Strategies:
Option 1: Managarmr Method
2-3k stamina Managarmrs, spam ice breath, use Forest Drake to kill corrupted trees
Option 2: Stego Cheese
Single Stego targeting foot when crosshair is red drains its health!
Combat Tips:
- Attack from flanks (blind spot)
- Run straight when it jumps
- Giganotosaurus rush effective at distance
- Velonasaurs for support DPS
- Snow Owl healing essential
- Yutyrannus for buffs/fear roar
CRITICAL: Keep fight centered!
If King Titan moves too far, it respawns with FULL health!
Required Army (Gamma):
- 2+ Titans (Ice & Forest preferred)
- 40 Gigas (400%+ melee, imprinted)
- 1 Mek with shield module
- 1 Mek with rocket pods (50+ ammo)
- Mega Mek allowed only on Alpha
Rewards:
- M.O.M.I. and Mek modules
- Gamma: 18-24 items (200-450% quality)
- Alpha: 24-30 items (400-800% quality)
- Permanently removes Specimen Implant
Patch v73.12 (October 7, 2025)
Studio Wildcard introduced Grendel alongside tamable Megaraptor, Chalk Golem, Ice Golem, and the Elderclaw companion drop.
Preparation Notes
- Bring hazmat + fur layers-Gatekeeper and Skylord artifacts live in the Aberration trench and Ice Cave.
- Tame Chalk Golems in the White Cliffs and Ice Golems in the Snow Desert for Rock Elemental-style tanking.
- Secure a Megaraptor via its altar duel before the encounter for added damage mobility.
- Add Elderclaw companions from the Fantastic Tames drop once you unlock the Lost Colony content.

- Artifact of the Gatekeeper β Aberration cave (34.3, 92.8)

Chain these runs to cover tribute needs for both Grendel and Forsaken Oasis.
The remastered arena retains the classic triple fight. Plan your tribute run with Valgueroβs condensed artifact routes.
Tribute Loop
- Devourer (48.5, 79.4) then Hunter (48.0, 59.3)
- Brute (74.1, 40.6) then Pack (45.0, 67.0)
- Gatekeeper (34.3, 92.8) from the Aberration trench
- Skylord (15.3, 27.2) inside the Ice Cave
Re-stock medical brews and Veggie Cakes after each two-artifact leg to keep Rex and Therizino lines ready for the arena.
Fight Overview:
- Fight both Dragon AND Manticore simultaneously
- Combines two of the hardest bosses
- Dragon's fire damage + Manticore's torpor
- Requires excellent coordination
Recommended Strategy:
Mixed army approach works best:
- 10 Therizinos (for Dragon fire resistance)
- 10 Rexes (for raw damage)
- Stimulants for Manticore torpor
- Focus Dragon first (percentage damage)
Location & Access:
- Frozen Dungeon (31.3, 33.7)
- Behind frozen waterfall (must break ice)
- Fur armor required for cold protection
- No grappling hooks allowed in cave
Battle Tips:
- Bring multiple players if possible
- High-quality fur armor essential
- Shotguns with lots of ammo
- Medical brews for healing
- Clear adds quickly
Location:
- Jungle Dungeon
- Room adjacent to artifact room
- Break crystals/rocks to find entrance
Combat Strategy:
Rocket Launcher Method

- β’ Grapple to high left ledge
- β’ Target head for max damage
- β’ Weak to water-based attacks
Cheese spot exists on opposite side of entrance!
